Our Favorite Summer Time Friend!!!

Here is a picture of a mosquito. Look at the hair on its antennas and how long the legs are. Also notice how long the proboscis is. The proboscis is where a mosquito sucks our blood.

Lady Bug

Here is a picture of a Lady Bug, that I found in my yard. I think the reason the lady bug lost it's color is because it has been dead for a long time.

Bee

Here is a picture of a bee. Did you know that a bee has many yellow dots on its eyes? Notice how the antenna of a bee is similar to a reindeer antlers. However on a bee's antenna the bottom half is yellow while the top half is black.

A New Beginning

Hello my name is Grace. This blog will show pictures of things that are invisible to the naked eye. Using a 200x microscope I will look at insects, plants and other things that our eyes are unable to see. The plan is to update the blog once a week with a new picture and brief write up on what I saw. I hope that you all enjoy this blog and learn something along the way with me. I look forward to answering any questions and reading your comments as new post are added.

In the next week, look for a picture of an insect and brief write up for my first post!!!
